Spaghetti with Garlic and Basil

Prep time 15 minutes, Total time 25 minutes.


  1. 1 (16 oz.) pkg. uncooked spaghetti
  2. 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  3. 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  4. 4 cloves garlic, minced
  5. 1 cup fresh basil, coarsely chopped
  6. Salt and pepper to taste
  7. 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Place the pasta in the boiling water and cook for 8 to 10 minutes until done to your liking.

Toss the drained spaghetti with the olive oil, butter, herbs, and spices until evenly coated. Serve with Parmesan cheese.

You can also add red pepper flakes for a zesty kick, and/or top with sliced cooked boneless chicken breast for protein.
